The Lucky Dog Rescue Orlando Design Challenge provides a platform to demonstrate my ability to craft compelling ad copy. This experience involved thorough research to identify the target audience and deeply understanding the brand's core message. By analyzing the needs and preferences of potential adopters, I could tailor the messaging to resonate with them effectively. My goal was to highlight the mission of Lucky Dog Rescue while fostering an emotional connection that encourages community engagement and support for the organization.

Design Rationale
Organizing design elements is essential for creating a cohesive visual composition. Designers should avoid placing elements randomly, as this can lead to confusion. Instead, illustrations, photographs, and typography should be thoughtfully arranged to work together harmoniously. This alignment helps establish a specific mood that resonates with the intended message, whether it conveys joy, professionalism, or another tone, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the design.
Holiday Motion Graphic Design Challenge 1
For Juneteenth, I used a design from a previous course as inspiration. I chose a broken chain to replace the letter "u" in the logo. This symbolizes freedom from slavery and reflects the holiday's deeper meaning. The animation features a shattering effect to emphasize this idea.
The motion grabs the audience's attention and reminds them of the chains that have been broken and the freedom fought for. It encourages reflection on the past, present, and future. The broken chain serves as a reminder of suffering and the importance of breaking free from it. I incorporated the chain as the "u" for a creative touch.

Holiday Motion Graphic Design Challenge 2
The design for Dia De Los Muertos features a sugar skull for the "o" in "Muertos" and a Western-style font. I chose a laser effect reveal to create a celebratory mood reminiscent of lighting candles.
The sugar skull symbolizes the holiday, while the lighting effect represents the flicker of a candle, capturing the audience's attention and enhancing the experience. Lighting candles for loved ones who have passed is a way to honor them on this holiday.
